Anti-Inflammatory Mango Smoothie

Smoothies are a part of my everyday nutrition. They're full of fiber, super easy to digest, and can be taken on the go. This smoothie takes it up a step by adding ingredients specifically for the purpose of fighting inflammation. Personally, turmeric is not my thing. I don't necessarily enjoy the earthy taste of it, but I love what it does for my stomach, which leads me into the first perk of this particular recipe... you really don't taste it! This may sound weird, but to me, this smoothie tastes almost just like a cinnamon bun with a kick (being the ginger). An even better perk to this smoothie is that I came up with this recipe, because this particular week, I was having a lot of pain in my left side. Within minutes of taking my first sip, the pain had cleared up a ton and I felt 10 times better.

All you need to get started is...



-1 thumb organic turmeric 

-1 thumb organic ginger

-1/2 cup coconut water (no additives)

-1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

-1/3 cup organic mango chunks

-1 frozen banana


**All ingredient measurements are completely up to personal taste



Step #1: Skin desired amount of ginger and turmeric. Place in blender.

Step #2: Add remaining ingredients.

Step #3: Blend until smooth.

Step #4: Drink immediately or place in molds for popsicles!
